The Altruistic Development Group is a values-driven nonprofit dedicated to building stronger communities through affordable housing, economic opportunity, and human dignity.
Founded by Carlton E. Bowers Jr., an altruism-rooted leader and lifelong advocate for social equity, our organization works at the intersection of compassion, construction, and community development. Our mission is to develop affordable housing and provide job readiness pathways for individuals and families across Delaware and beyond, empowering them not just with shelter, but with tools to thrive.
We believe that the act of building is itself an expression of altruism. That’s why every project we take on, whether constructing homes, mentoring young workers, or forming strategic partnerships, is grounded in selfless service to others.
